write your own hieroglypics…”
The job of the ancient scribe was considered to be magical by those who could not write or read. The images, hieroglyphs, and cuneiform they wrote with a chisel were considered alive. Much like many people treat programmers today - the words mean something. Out to homie here for the reminder!

Misk is making some breathtaking tunes. It’s easy to call it “trap” or “bass” or box it in some marketable genre, but it’s really a step to the left. The drumwork he puts forth is simply next level, and everything he is doing blows my mind. Prayer an incredibly original EP, fusing unconventional basslines into a glitchy stew with unique synth work.

I absolutely LOVE DJ Nappy’s eloquent write up of Aaron’s new EP, Prayer on Do Androids Dance. Not just because I care of Aaron, but because as someone who listens to this subgenre regularly, I couldn’t agree more. (via alexismichelle)
